Resume
The article presents a comprehensive analysis of the challenges to Ukraine’s industrial development in the context of the transition to Industries 4.0 and 5.0, taking into account the processes of deindustrialization, the destructive impact of the war, European integration requirements, and the needs of post-war reconstruction based on the Build Back Better (BBB) principle. A classification of key challenges to industrial development is proposed according to the following distribution: 1) global challenges; 2) existential challenges; 3) hybrid challenges; and 4) internal challenges. An assessment of the current state of the national industry, its losses, and the needs of post-war recovery is provided. The spectrum of key challenges faced by the national economy and industry is systematized and identified. The study examines the complex of security and institutional challenges that determine the transformation of Ukraine’s industry under martial law and the global transition to Industry 4.0 and 5.0 technologies. Ways and tools for responding to institutional, military-security, and technological challenges are suggested, along with strategic directions for addressing the challenges encountered by the national industry.
